JOHN LENNON
October 9, 1940 - December 8, 1980
27 years ago Today, December 8th, 1980, Ex-Beatle, Activist, Artist, and Hero John Lennon was gunned down at his New York City apartment building "The Dakota". He was shot 4 times in the back but he did not fall, He stumbled to the steps of The Dakota and said only one thing "I'm Shot", When the police arrived they knew they couldn't wait for the ambulance so they put Lennon in the squad car and drove him to Roosevelt Hospital...Dead on Arrival.
I ask everyone to take a moment today to remember John Lennon. Remember his eternal message of Peace & Love! Listen to and Sing his song "Imagine". I personally have to thank John because if it weren't for him I would have never started my activism, politics, or writing. Although he passed 9 years before I was born, I still feel his presence is felt all over the world. He has truly touched every age, race, creed, and generation. We will always miss you John, & We will always remember you. Thank you for everything!
