The National Guardsmen and I

The other day I spoke with a National Guardsmen who told me some chilling things about "Operation: Iraqi Freedom".

He started off by telling me that "George W. Bush is the closest thing to Adolf Hitler this world has ever seen" and that "He (Bush) is a control freak with a Personal_Problem."

He was getting into detail about how much the United States Government is spending in Iraq PER MINUTE!!! Which is roughly $300,000. (A MINUTE!!!)

If you don't think this man knows what he is talking about he has spent 4 tours in OUR current war...He has also served in "Desert Storm" & "Vietnam". All by his mid 50s. He wants but cannot leave the National Guard until he is 60 years old do to a Contract which would effect his Retirment. (Sad isn't it?)

Bush says the reason we are in Iraq is to free the people from the clutch that is or should I say That was Saddam Hussein and to disarm the country of Iraq and their "Weapons Of Mass Destruction". In which Bush and his "People" spoke at the start of his Presidency that they had NO such weapons and NO means of getting these weapons. (Pre-9/11).

The American Government is going to such lengths these days that they are recruiting 14 year old kids making them sign contracts that promise them $30-$40,000 if they join. I don't know about you but when I was 14 $40,000 sounded like a lot. I won't lie these children will receive this money (given they make it home). The catch being they stay in the US Military until they are 60 years old or suffer Breach of Contract issues.

I actually had the chance to talk with a Army Recruiting officer at a school cafeteria and I said "Why are you trying to recruit young people?" he says "Whether you like it or not this war is going to be your war someday. It isn't going anywhere anytime soon." then he asked me to join.

The old man (National Guardsmen) also told me that we live in a country where "The Rich Get Richer and The Poor Get Poorer". This could not be anymore true.
