Many people don't know that whale and dolphins meat is actually toxic. The people that buy and eat the meat are actually poisoning themselves.
25,000 dolphins are killed each year in Japan. Fisherman in the tiny city of Taiji resumed the slaughter that had been delayed by increased woldwide media attention drawn by an international group of surfers, celebrities, and musicians.
These fisherman don't just catch these dolphins for their meat but they also sell them to zoo and other captive animal exhibits for around $100,000 each.
The fisherman herd these whales and dolphins into a rocky cove bay in Taiji (Japan) where they proceed to slaughter them with harpoons.
Actress, Hayden Panettierre says that "They are such intelligent creatures. They knew what was going to happen to them, they saw the others in their herd be murdered and they knew they were next. It was terrible. The water was so red you could stick a paintbrush in it and paint a picture"
We have to end this Murder!
Here’s what you can do:
- Write the Japanese Prime Minister, Yasuo Fukuda, and tell him you will not purchase any Japanese products or visit Japan until they stop killing and capturing dolphins and whales or "Click Here to send your messege" directly to the Japanese Prime minister Yasuo Fukuda
- Do not participate in any captive swim-with dolphin programs.
- Do not support or visit any marine park, zoo, or amusement park that has captive dolphins and whales.
