Earlier today twice elected Pakistan Prime Minister (In Office from October 19, 1993 - November 5, 1996) Benazir Bhutto was assassinated (age 54) in a combined suicide bombing attack and shooting at a political rally of the "Pakistan Peoples Party" in the town of Rawalpindi. 15 others were killed in this cowardly attack when the assassin detonated an explosive pellet-ridden vest. The attack occurred just after Ms. Bhutto left the rally, where she had given a campaign address to party supporters in the run-up to the January 2008 parliamentary elections.
