Everyone remembers (hurricane) Katrina, we all saw all of the people without homes, food, water, etc. So I ask you to picture those 50-100,000 refugees, Now imagine 100,000,000 (100 million). It will happen in our lifetime if we do not make a change now!
Year after year we continue to ignore the overwhelming scientific evidence that the world is heating up faster, hotter, and more dangerous than ever before. Scientific research indicates that climate change will cause hurricanes and tropical storms to become more intense, last longer, unleashing stronger winds, and causing more damage to coastal ecosystems and communities. They (Scientist) point to higher ocean tempuratures as the main culprit, Since hurricanes and tropical storms get their energy from warm water. As sea surface tempuratures rise, Developing storms will contain more energy.
Millions of wild animal species are being forced to migrate to new, cooler areas to survive. The rapid nature of global climate change is likely to exceed the abilities of many of these species to migrate or adjust. Experts predict that One-Fourth of Earths animal species will be headed for extinction by the year 2050! These animals had nothing at all to do with this climate crisis!
Humans on the other hand are a different story. The average family releases 300,000 tons of carbon dioxide each year. (1 ton = 2,000 pound)
What you can do to change this is plant trees, lots of trees! These trees would like nothing more than to munch away at all that carbon dioxide. It is a great way to reduce carbon emission, until we find a better way.
